Experience the lakes country from the air during a scenic airplane tour. Located at Chandler Field Municipal Airport, rides can be arranged by making a reservation at 320-762-2111. Alexandria Aviation, Inc., established in 1976, is the primary, full-service Fixed Base Operator (FBO) at Chandler Field. The FBO has developed a reputation for its well-known friendly hospitality.

Located in the Alexandria lakes area, midway between the Twin Cities and Fargo-Moorhead, the Douglas Area Trails Association maintains 368 miles of groomed snowmobile trails in west central Minnesota's Hardwood Hills and River Prairie landscapes. Dotted with numerous lakes, Douglas County's DATA Trails offer a real combination of open flatlands to heavily wooded and often hilly riding. Snowmobilers often comment about the spectacular views afforded by many scenic locations, and abundant wildlife they encounter while riding.

In the southern part of Otter Tail County is a collection of glacial features known as the Leaf Hills. The highest among them is Inspiration Peak, just west of Urbank. It rises 1,750 feet, about 400 feet above the surrounding countryside making it the highest point in the county and one of the highest points in the state of Minnesota. 

Andes Tower Hills is a local ski resort featuring 16 downhill runs and lifts ranging from beginner to expert. Offering rentals and lessons, snowboarding, skiing, cross country skiing, tubing and snowshoeing! Also grab a bite to eat at the Whispering Pines Grill.
It has nine miles of groomed cross country trails and equipment rental on site, snowshoeing and hills for downhill tubing and rentals. 

Glacial Ridge Trail Scenic Byway is a 220 mile route through lakes, woods, state parks and farmlands. Over 30,000 years ago massive glaciers covered this land from what is called the Wadena Lobe. As it melted, the glacier left many lakes, hills and ridges. A popular scenic route for both motorcycles and cars, take a scenic trip back in time on the trail of an ancient glacier! 

Silver Sage Ranch is a family friendly horse ranch for horseback riding, horseback riding lessons, Boy and Girl Scout horsemanship programs, and trail rides. The ranch also has a great campground for camping and picnics and more.
